The Metal testnet block explorer shows transactions, account balances, and blocks. Start with the transfer you sent in Make Your First Transfer.

What you can look up

  • Transactions by hash: status, the gas paid in the MIP20 gas token, and the decoded call. For a 0x7f MIP20 transaction the explorer shows the envelope fields, including which gas token paid.
  • Accounts by address: MIP20 token balances and nonce. Balances are keyed by identity address.
  • Blocks: height, millisecond-precision timestamp, and the included transactions.
Account history, token transfer history, and contract interaction history are not available on testnet yet. These views show “History not available on this network yet”.

Open your transaction

The previous guide saved your transaction hash as TX_HASH. Print its explorer URL:
Open the printed URL. The transaction page should show:
  • A successful status
  • Your account as the sender
  • The *USDZ contract as the transaction recipient
  • A transfer of one *USDZ to your chosen recipient
  • The transaction fee paid in *USDZ
The transaction recipient is the *USDZ contract because you called its transfer function. The payment recipient appears in the decoded call and transfer event.

Inspect the sender and recipient

Print both account URLs:
Open each URL to compare their token balances.

Look up other activity

You can open any transaction, account, or block by replacing the value at the end of these paths:
The SDK returns a transaction hash from writeMip20Contract and sendMip20Call. The RPC method eth_sendRawTransaction also returns a hash, so you can link to the transaction after broadcasting it.
